Fire Rescue Cadet Program

The SJCFR Cadet Program was created to introduce youths 14-21 years old to the field of Fire Rescue. Cadets will have the opportunity to learn fire, EMS and leadership skills. This program is registered with and supported by the Florida Fire Chiefs Association.

Program Information

Meeting Time

Cadets meet every other Monday and some weekends. Ride-a-longs (for eligible cadets) are scheduled once a month during the school year and twice during summer/winter breaks.

Meeting Locations

Meetings are held at either Station 5 (3370 US-1 N, St. Aug 32086) or Fire Rescue Administration (3657 Gaines Rd, St. Aug 32084).

Program Cost

Entry cost is $35; this covers registration, T-shirt, buddy rope and CPR certification. Cadets are expected to provide the remainder of their uniform items (black boots, socks, belt and blue utility pants).
